The THIRD ANNUAL WHOLE HOG

Friday, May 3rd | East Potomac Golf Links

The Punch Bowl Golfing Society cordially invites you and a partner to the third pulling of The Whole Hog Tournament - a festive, daylong celebration of the game to benefit the National Links Trust. The competition will be held at the East Potomac Golf Links adjacent to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Friday, May 3rd. We are delighted to announce the event is being once again being sponsored by our friends at Holderness & Bourne.

Like all PBGS gatherings, the format will be traditional alternate shot. Teams of two will play every hole at EPGL starting with an 8:30am shotgun on the Blue Course. Following lunch with the traditional sparking white wine punch, we will play both the nine-hole executive White Course and the nine-hole, par-three Red Course. Part of the entry fee will be directly contributed to National Links Trust and part of it ($50 per person) will also be reserved to pay out skins…which, hopefully, the winners will contribute part or all of to NLT. The team who accumulates the most skins will take home the coveted Crackling. If there is a tie for the greatest number of skins, there will be a eating contest to crown the winning team.

Play will be followed by a proper Whole Hog BBQ on the grounds at EPGL.

Cost of the event is $315 per player, which includes 36 holes of golf, breakfast (burritos and coffee), lunch with punch, whole hog BBQ dinner, a tee gift provided by Holderness & Bourne and prizes. Additional drinks will be available for purchase. We anticipate a large field and spots will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
